Violet: One Month Old

Violet is one month old today! You will recognize her onesie stickers... I put them right back on the contact paper after taking Lily's monthly pictures to recycle them if we ever had another little girl. Lily's one month photo is here. It's crazy how much bigger Violet is at the same age.

Violet outgrew her newborn sized clothes just before 3 weeks, and she is now in 3 month clothing. They were actually always too short for her in the arms and legs but since she wasn't really stretching out all the way, they worked for a little bit! She has so many cute clothes from Lily and it's fun rediscovering some of my favorite outfits. Violet can hold her head up for a long period of time and turns towards voices and sounds. She interacts by holding eye contact and cooing. We swaddle her when she sleeps at night but haven't really done that with naps since it hasn't been necessary. Violet has been sleeping a 4-5 hour stretch a night the past week which her parents definitely appreciate! Like her big sister, she only fusses when she needs something (milk, diaper change, position change) and is a calm and content baby the rest of the time. We're looking forward to seeing her first real smile since those smiles in her sleep are just so darn cute!
