LILY: TWO YEARS OLD!
This morning, Lily was treated to a breakfast of French toast by her Grandpa, and then headed off for a morning of fun at Monkey Joe's. It was her first time at a bounce place, and she had a blast. I was unable to go due to fighting a small cold and needing to stay with Violet. We also had a lot of things to get done for her birthday party (a post about that will follow sometime this weekend!) Her birthday party was a wonderful time spent with our families and close friends, and the birthday girl was pretty tuckered out at the end of the night!
Click here to see Lily at one year old before her birthday party last year. My, what a difference a year makes! It's amazing that two years ago we met her for the first time. She is quite the little person and full of spunk and sweetness. I just love being her mom. Her personality is still very sweet and she is usually very compliant with what we ask, but she does have her moments where she chooses to do what she wants to do instead. :) Nothing too crazy, and all part of being a toddler. It's fun to watch her growing, asserting herself, and making her own choices. Lily is a very caring child and always expresses concern when another child is upset. We've watched her hug random children and pat them because they were crying. She brings Violet blankets and burp cloths (without being asked) and will pat Violet and kiss her if she's upset. If she hears Violet crying she says "Oh no, Violet!" and runs over to try and help.
Lily's current favorite toy is the park. There's nowhere she'd rather be and nothing else she'd rather be doing. She asks daily with great hope in her face, "Park? Walk?" She loves to chase and be chased and giggles the whole time.
Lily is nursing 3-5 times per day and her favorite snack is apples dipped in peanut butter. She likes to do it all by herself. She also really likes cranberry raisins and ham is still a favorite for lunch. Lily also loves salad, believe it or not and eats it a lot. There have been times she eats a salad for lunch. I'm not fighting this one!
We have 16 teeth now at long last.... now on to the 2 year molars....please let those be as easy as the rest of her teeth were!
I have no idea how tall she is or how much she weighs... we don't go to the pediatrician again until May, so I guess we'll find out then! If I had to guess, she's probably around 28 pounds and 38ish inches tall.
