Violet: 3 weeks old

Violet is three weeks old today! (To see Lily at 3 weeks old, click here) We hit a growth spurt on Monday so the past two days I have basically been nursing what feels like non stop. Thank goodness growth spurts only last a few days - they are definitely exhausting! I love breastfeeding and all it does for my girls, but it isn't always fun feeling like a milk production plant...and growth spurts definitely make me feel like that. Her personality is still really relaxed and chill, and she only cries when she's hungry or needs a diaper change. We're hoping it stays that way! :)

Lily loves to talk to Violet, hold her hand, and really enjoys holding her on the couch with help from one of us. It's fun to watch the two of them interact as Violet has become much more aware of us in the last week. She turns her head towards our voices and when we come close enough, makes and maintains eye contact. Lily LOVES when Violet looks at her.

Ethan and Lily are out and about right now as I type this running a few errands, the most important of which are getting Violet's birth certificate and adding her to our insurance. It's hard to believe Ethan has been home for three weeks... feels like three months sometimes and three days other times. He'll be going back to work on December 16th, so we still have six more weeks together as a family.
